Autism Treatment / ABA Therapy

Bright Star Behavioral Services provides home-based ABA therapy for children on the autism spectrum. In Los Angeles, we support children with ASD or developmental delays through personalized programs that build everyday skills, improve behavior, and increase independence.

Intesive Early Intervention

For comprehensive ABA programs, children typically receive 25–40 hours of individualized therapy per week. Each session is delivered one-on-one by trained behavior technicians and closely guided by a clinical supervisor to support consistent progress.

School-Aged Intervention

For children who attend school, ABA sessions are typically scheduled in the afternoons for about 10–15 hours per week. In this individualized one-on-one model, services continue during school breaks and summer to help children maintain and build on their progress.

Parent Training

Parents are a child’s first and most important teachers. That’s why every treatment plan includes dedicated parent training. We gather your feedback throughout the process and coach you on using practical ABA strategies at home, so progress continues beyond each session.

ABA Consulting

Sometimes families just want a fresh, professional perspective. Our BCBAs can collaborate with you to review programs and provide clear, practical recommendations. We also partner with schools that are supporting students with especially complex behavioral or learning needs.

Assessment in Applied Behavior Analysis

Functional behavior assessments (FBAs) help identify why your child, student, or client is engaging in challenging behaviors. Our FBAs typically include interviews with parents and staff, direct observation, and data review in order to design an effective, individualized behavior plan.

How Does It Work?

1. Assessment

A BCBA begins by getting to know your child and family, listening to the behaviors and goals that matter most to you, and carrying out a structured evaluation of your child’s skills, strengths, and areas for growth.

2. Setting Objectives

Using the evaluation results, our BCBAs collaborate with your family to create clear, realistic goals that target key behaviors, build new skills, and support your child’s daily independence.

3. Personalized Planning

Based on these goals, the BCBA designs an individualized treatment plan that outlines specific skills and strategies to focus on. A Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) then works directly with your child to carry out the plan in each session and carefully record data to track progress over time.
